Hi all, is the owl still up at Bempton RSPB? I have been up several times and not been lucky enough to catch a glimpse, may be I`m going up at the wrong times. I suppose early morning and evening might be a better time.
The short-eared owl has actually been seen today (Friday) by staff on the reserve. It's often around the grassland and can easily be seen from the visitor centre.
It's a bit unpredictable and doesn't really stick to regular times when it's there. I suppose it depends when it's hungry!
Let us know if you see it next time you're at Bempton.
If you are a Facebook user, go onto our page - RSPBBemptonCliffs - and there's always lots of people posting news of their sightings.
Thank you for the reply Margaret, I will just have to keep my eye`s open when I`m next up there. if I do see it I will let you know, with a photograph if possible. Yes I go on the Bempton Cliffs forum from time to time.
Looking forward to the warmer weather so we can come up to Bempton :)
I would have been up at Bempton RSPB today but with weather over here in Bridlington being sunny I took the opportunity to service my motorhome before the bad weather arrives.
