Hi Everyone, would anyone be able to tell me what birds there are to see at Bempton Cliffs in September. We are visiting East Riding from 14 - 17 September and I was wondering whether it woudl be worth a trip to Bempton Cliffs? Thanks.
Most of the seabirds will have finished breeding by then and will be back out to sea but there should still be a good number of Gannets on the cliffs.Bempton is worth a visit at any time of year and there can be good sea watching from the cliffs as well as autumn migrants starting to move.Nearby Flamborough Head can also be good for sea watching and migrants and is only a few minutes drive down the road.
Pete
Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
