As the tide was coming in at 15.20 a flock of about 500 Barnacles dropped in onto the mudflats in front of West Common. Quite a busy day on the Reserve birdwise. This flock flew straight above us across the Lonning, as we were walking down to the hide to view the Great White Egret.
