After spotting 5 wheatear outside of the Carnethau hide I decided to go and get my camera. On my return the wheatear had gone and these colourfull Linnet had decided to take their place, males and females.

The Charmleys
The first wheatear that we had seen was clearly in view on the small island in front of the first hide. We had to take this photo to find out what it was! Taken by our fourteen year old and what a great photo! RSPB Conwy, 9/04/13

I took this at Conwy on the estuary path on 27th August, but despite scouring the ident sections I can't find a good enough match. It was bobbing as it walked.
