Greetings friends :-)
Another freezing cold day !!
Not much reported today apart from the Bird garden although there were 10 yellowhammers seen at the Tree Sparrow farm ..
Seen on the Bird Garden were blue tits, long-tailed tits, great tits, a willow tit, bullfinches, chaffinches, greenfinches, pheasants, blackbirds, robins, reed buntings, a moorhen, magpies and a wren which was actually in the hide !!
Yes folks, you can really get close to Nature here on Old Moor ;-)
A final report was from Broomhill Flash where the little owl was once again seen ..
As I said yesterday .. let's hope that there is enough food and shelter to keep our feathered friends fit and well .. And the ones without feathers of course !!
I wonder how cold sheep get ...
Have a nice evening everyone ;-)

Do sheep get cold feet?
I've often wondered about other things too .. Birds obviously .. When we are suffering temperatures of -10 how on earth do they just sit in a bush or tree and still manage to survive .. I see the sheep on the hills where I go and think about them while I'm in front of my gas fire .. They just stand in the pitch black in the snow and ice and carry on as normal !! We wouldn't stand a chance !!
