Evenin friends .. :-)
I hope that you have all had a good day today ?
Lots to tell from Old Moor today along with a cool photo !
Starting with the Mere ..
Seen here were 3 oystercatchers, gadwalls, mallards, teals, pochards, tufted ducks, wigeons, goldeneyes and a pied wagtail ..
In the Bird Garden were a willow tit, blue tits, great tits, long-tailed tits, chaffinches, goldfinches, greenfinches, bullfinches, reed buntings, a blackbird, a robin, a song thrush, a male great spotted woodpecker and a male sparrowhawk ... Apparently the 'sprawk' failed to catch any lunch today despite attempting to hide behind a branch ;-)
A great shot here taken by Mr Bill Jepson ..
On the Wader Scrape were a little egret, 12 goosanders and gadwalls ..
The female kingfisher was still entertaining by one of the wildlife ponds while over on Wath Ings were shovelers, great crested grebes and lots of coots ...
The Field Pool West Hide had little grebes, great crested grebes and 2 grey partridges and a kestrel was seen from the East Hide ..
A final report was of a mistle thrush on Green Lane and a good sized flock of starlings which were seen in various areas as they travelled around ..
And that concludes this evening's entertainment from me !!
Have a good evening everyone ..
