Summer is back again ... These indecisive seasons are a real pain !!
Sledge out .. Sledge in .. Sledge out .. Sledge in ..... I don't know what to do !!!
Anyway .. Here is today's news from Old Moor for you lucky people ..
Reported from the Bird Garden were bullfinches, chaffinches, greenfinches, goldfinches, great tits, blue tits, yellowhammers, woodpigeons, collared doves, magpies and a pheasant ..
Over on the Mere were 2 redshanks, lapwings, an avocet, sand martins and a sedge warbler ..
The Wildlife Ponds had a female kestrel, reed buntings, a common blue butterfly, common blue damselflies and azure damselflies ..
Green Lane had a lesser-whitethroat, linnets and reed buntings ..
Seen on the Wader Scrape were a pied wagtail, mute swans, avocets and chicks, a common tern, oystercatchers, a dunlin, 2 little-ringed plovers, a redshank, a Mediterranean gull and then a common buzzard was seen passing over ... outside the hide a hedgehog was reported !!
Wath Ings had a kestrel while over on the Field Pool were redshanks and pochards ..
The bittern has been very busy as per usual and was seen frequently from the Bittern Viewpoint .. A reed bunting was also reported from here ..
And that my friends, is that !!!
Apparently there is a football match on tonight ?
