Once more I bring to you the news of today from Old Moor ...
Here it is in all its' 'splendorous scantness' !!
On the Wader Scrape were a yellow wagtail, a Mediterranean gull, a common tern, an oystercatcher, avocets and a little-ringed plover ..
A barn owl was reported from Wath Ings and someone spotted a water vole near to the Wildlife Ponds ..
Long-tailed tits were seen on Green Lane, as was a blackcap ..
The bittern has been showing well from the viewpoint as is normal at the moment .. Obviously having 3 kids keeps you very busy indeed !!
A final report was of an osprey which was seen passing over the Field Pool at around 12:30 although this is, at the moment, an unconfirmed sighting ..
