Anyway .. Here is today's news from your favourite RSPB Reserve ...
Not too much in the way of birds today but a few insects were reported though ..
On the Wader Scrape were 7 common terns, a green sandpiper, 3 common sandpipers, a black-tailed godwit, 4 oystercatchers and a redshank ..
Reported from the Mere were 3 lesser black-backed gulls .. Everything else was obviously hiding ... :-)
Insecty stuff next ..
Butterflies seen were green-veined white, large white, 2 ringlets and 2 commas ..
Dragonflies seen were brown hawker, 4 spotted chaser, black-tailed skimmer and common darter ..
Finally, damselflies .. these were azure blue and common blue ..
All of which were seen in the areas around the Wildlife Ponds ..
So there you have it for today friends ...
