Greetings readers :-)

Here I am again inside your PC to bring you today's tidings from Old Moor ..

And some other stuff too !!!

The news today comes to you courtesy of Titchers ..

Why aye man !!!

So .. Here we go ..

Old Moor first ..

There was a reed warbler, a whitethroat and goldfinches reported from the Tree Sparrow Farm ..

The Field Pool had a common sandpiper,  a common tern, redshanks, a black-tailed godwit and a kingfisher ..

Over on the Wader Scrape were 2 common terns, a little grebe, a great-crested grebe, lapwings, 3 oystercatchers and 2 green sandpipers ..

On Wath Ings were 2 sedge warblers, a reed warbler and a little grebe with 3 'grebelets' :-)

A flock of linnets was seen on Green Lane along with a great spotted woodpecker, a willow warbler and a reed warbler ..

There was also a little egret seen flying onto the reserve by our Warden 'The Wad' but it's landing point wasn't established as he wasn't in a position to be able to see properly..

An emperor dragonfly was seen near to one of the wildlife ponds too .. Sounds very posh !!

A common buzzard was seen flying over Bolton Ings while over on Adwick Washlands was another common buzzard, a little egret, lapwings, yellowhammers and a tufted duck with 'tuftlets' ...

Adwick Washlands is coming on very well and is well worth a visit .!!

Directions can be obtained from the Old Moor Visitor Centre should you wish to take a look at how it's progressing ...

And with that .. I'm off :-)

Have a great evening friends ...
