The large over-summering flock of black-tailed godwits are keeping the visitors entertained and the peregrines bellies full!

An excellent write-up and summary of a few local enthusiasts can be found at http://www.deeestuary.co.uk/news.htm and boy are the findings interesting - a bird ringed as a chick in the nest can be on our shores in less than two months!  And better than that we are learning all the time!

So have a read of this article and next time you see a flock of godwits try to spot one sporting the latest range of bling!
