I know they are a pest, but two young mink let us watch them playing on a log for a good five minutes and they were cute... I tried to upload a photo, but it wouldn't work. I will try again later.

I was there on Saturday and got some really good photos of these creatures walking on the boardwalk just after i saw the Barn owl in the woods. This was my first visit and I must say I was blown away by the place. it was worth the hour drive to get there.

They seemed pretty fearless of people. I will try and upload photos again tonight - it just didn't want to play the other day even though I followed all the instructions. Fowlmere is very near to me and I go regularly, very lucky to have such a nice reserve so near that we can visit in all seasons. Come again Steve!
Hi Carrie
I took some photos on Saturday and I will upload them tonight.
There you go, like magic the photo appears!
I saw the Mink for the first time the other day, I think we counted 7 of the playful creatures. They were play fighting on the board walk and in the water like crazy! We counted 8 common lizards aswell! My partner go to fowlmere almost every day, such a great place
Hi :)
Just on our way back over for a visit today, we too saw them on the boardwalk last Saturday and i was lucky to grab some footage of them :)
wow, amazing footage. I live about 10 mins from the reserve and despite perhaps a couple of hundred visits over the years I've only ever seen them 2 or 3 times, and little more than glimpses. Do keep posting sightings as I'm determined to get some photos of this family... somehow! I heard one was seen today by the watercress hut.

They definitely like the board walk, we saw all of the family along that stretch :)
Didn't see them last Sunday though...
Hi,
I saw a mink for the first time this evening by the stream by the Nature Trail.
Was this by the watercress hut? I waited about 40 mins there this morning and another hour or so round the boardwalk but no luck. Did get some nice pics of a common tern from the reedbed hide though.
Sorry for the delay in replying - it was between the watercress hut and where the small bridge is that crosses the stream.
