The two events showcasing Somersets world beating wildlife have proved so popular that the RSPB has added extra dates. There are new, additional opportunities to see the Avalon Marshes Starlings explode out of their reedbed roost at dawn and to see Somrset's newest residents the Cranes of the Somerset Levels.
The Starling Dawn Explosion, including breakfast roll & a hot drink afterwards is bookable through Meare Manor £6 on (01458) 860449.
Dates are: Fri 3rd Feb 6.45am, Sat 11th Feb 6.15am, Sat 18th Feb 6am. Meet at Ashcott Corner Car Park on the Meare to Ashcott Road.
The Crane Watch includes: a talk with film, soup & drink and a trip to see the Cranes. To book call (01823) 490249. Cost £12.50 per person (not suitable for under 12s). Outdoor weather gear & own transport required.
