The marsh harriers have been displaying well today - we got some lovely flights on our Wednesday Walkabout this morning from the Public hide. The red deer continue to enjoy the reeds and flag iris seed pods, and there is now a new display in the Tim Jackson hide with lots of interesting facts about the red deer so do have a look if you find yourself down that way.
Over at the Eric Morecambe and Allen pools today there was an impressive number of birds. Two spotted redshanks, 80 greenshanks, seven little ringed plovers and seven dunlins, around 400 black tailed godwits, over 115 lapwings, an egret and four herons were counted!
