This weekend is our Binocular and Telescope Event (Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August from 10 am to 4 pm) and it's another chance for me to stop by our team of binocular advisors to ask questions and to admire the sheer variety that are now available.

There are a couple of pairs of binoculars that I'd like to tell you about as they are quite new. The RSPB's new puffin binoculars have blown me away! They are very similar to many of the new style binoculars but are at a very affordable price of £49.95. as someone who is always checking out bins I recommend a binocular/ optics day AT A RESERVE. You can't judge bins for birding looking down the High street at brick walls etc. The chance to use them in 'proper' surroundings is always preferable.
