Latest data just in, is up to 12 noon today 17th August,. It show Rothes to still be in La Gironde river area, France, dotting about a bit there, so presumably she's fishing to fuel-up before moving on.
Meantime all other Garten ospreys are still here with us.
Thank you Richard, good to know she's resting a bit, it was worrying me that she was pushing on so quickly.
Also good to know the others are still about, well, the adults anyway, don't think the other youngsters are in any hurry to leave home!

Would Rothes be able to catch a smaller sturgeon or do you think she is more likely to be looking for smaller rivers as the Gironde is the largest estuary in France?

Tish, sorry but you have just made me laugh so much. You never know, something exciting may happen.
Me too, Tish, got to get ready for going camping for aweek or so . Leaving on thursday and working all day 2moro and Wednesday. Got to make sure we have everything for the cooking etc. Mind you, foods good at Birdfair so weekend won't be so bad. Hope the weather improves.

This summer I had two pheasnats in the garden one (Philippa) was feeding from the feeder and (Philip) just scratched his way around . They are really funny and stupid birds though..............
