The data for today has now been input and there is still no change from either Mallachie or Rothes. I'm rather running out of ways of saying that. But they are both still moving around lots, just only over a small, localised area. The latest data point I have is for 2pm today (22nd) for Mallachie and 1pm for Rothes. Rothes was exploring the coast a bit at that point and Mallachie was at the reservoir north of Zebreira.
Apologies for the brevity of this post, but I've a rather busy day. More tomorrow.
Thanks Alice. Glad the girls are both moving around in their areas.
Thanks Alice. Take it canny>:))
Many thanks, Alice :-)
Thanks Alice. Take it canny::))
I'm glad there staying put for a while, there's still plenty of time for them to start on the long haul, thanks for taking the time again Alice.
Do appreciate the updates!
Thanks, Alice.
I am sure you have plenty to do, and although we can be an impatient lot at times, I am sure a quick "no change, all well" would suffice most afternoons, wiith a bit of osprey detail or other Loch Garten news thrown in when you have time - but maybe especially on Fridays when we have no news over the weekend. In other words, don't make it harder for yourself!
All's well as far as I am concerned Alice - VERY happy they are both staying put and just 'growing up' - lots more fishing practice - lots more resting up - lots more flying practice ! Very many manoeuvers to learn if you have two wings !
Thank you Alice, so much for taking the time to do it - it doesn't matter if there is little more you can tell us, it's what is! And we are grateful for it.
Thank you Alice for making time to keep us up to date. As Cirrus says just a little blog will suffice when you are so busy, just to let us know that all is well with Rothes and Mallachie.
Tish nice to see you back hope you had a good holiday.
Thanks, Alice, for making time to update us. As others have said, a very brief blog to let us know all is well would do, when you are so busy!
Thanks, Allice - much appreciated!
Havn't made a comment for a while as been so busy with paperwork but follow every day and Roy's birds and the American osprey migration/tracking to check all are well.
Releived to hear girls both well as unfortunatly earlier I read that number 1 owlett from the Barn owl trust webcam had been found dead at the weekend a few miles from the nest, 5 ro 6 weeks after leaving the nest and had probably died of starvation. I had also been following in our local paper the week and a half long visit by a whale just offshore from my Bournemouth beach, who had been doing some spectatular diving each day and looked very well. Last night it was seen floating near the shore and this morning was found dead with cuts on its head and stomach which they think came from her being caught in a rope or net. They are doing an autopsy which is very sad as they thought over the weekend that it was making it's way towards the Bay of Biscay.
It is difficult sometimes when you get so concerned and involved with wildlife
JILLIAN.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know, Alice. We really appreciate even a brief report!
Thanks Alice for keeping us informed. Much appreciated.
