18/10 12:02 CAMBRIDGESHIRE : Osprey, Shepreth [S]
juvenile north over Shepreth rail station (11:43)
Wonder if its our Ozwald - nice thought!
Tempo : It could well be Ozwold as there are hardly any osprey sightings in the last few days. It does mention it is a juvenile.
Lets hope so. Really willing him on his journey before the weather gets really nasty. Bitterly cold here today and high winds and heavy rain showers.

18/10 19:38 CAMBRIDGESHIRE : Osprey, Wimpole Hall Park [S]
one at the pool then flew towards the lake (17:30)
Just looked up Shepreth on GE (showing my ignorance). Looks a nice village with lots of trees, not much water, and acres of beige fields surrounding :-( I don't imagine that bird will stop there long.
ALAN PETRIE 18/10 19:38 CAMBRIDGESHIRE : Osprey, Wimpole Hall Park [S] one at the pool then flew towards the lake (17:30)
Could that be the same bird, ALAN? Our Ozwold?

Scylla : It is probably the same bird. I have been to Wimpole Hall on several occasions and there is not much water there for an osprey to be fishing in. It is a National Trust property with some land run as a rare breeds farm.
