To bump Odin up the list of threads also. Scylla's video of him deliverying a fish @ 11.02 last night, is this a record????
Rothiemurchus Red 8T
Mary I doubt it. I am pretty sure that Odin has delivered a fish around 11.45 pm but it would take a bit of searching to find the record.

Tiger no need to search, I think your word is good for it!!!!!
A fish delivery at that hour would have to be around the June 21st mark, when else would it be light enough?

Ospreys can deliver fish in the dark. Here is a recent example of Monty at Dyfi doing just that.
Something else I didn't know about them!! They're seriously amazing, aren't they?
Could also be possible food (in this case fish) for thought for the 'do osprey stash fish' debate?

Wendy ospreys have fantastic eyesight. I think it was 2006 at Loch Garten they used to time the reaction of the chicks to when they saw Henry with a fish. The chicks reacted up to over a minute before Henry was visible to humans.
That is a high definition cam at Dyfi
Pictures of Odin taken on April 4th 2012
I'm not sure if this one is Odin
And one of a naughty headless Odin
Love the captures - EJ's expression on the last one doesn't suggest much enjoyment!
BIRDIE Thanks for these captures, they're beautiful!
Here's Odin spending a little time with his family. The chicks now look bigger than he is, and he has been an excellent provider - Odin the Magnificent:-)
TIGER Amazing facts about ospreys being able to deliver fish in the dark. Thanks for the link.
CLARE and MIMS Thanks for your comments. The video of Odin and the family is great.
