Tiger I have an exact copy of my Computer on a Portable Hard drive, I usually always remember to back up things like photographs but its the odd little things that I do that are easy to forget, I guess best way is to have the portable drive attached ALL the time and back up each and every thing as you go along.
By the way you are the person to ask! Is there anyway that you can go into a thread and ask to go to a certain Page? Not sure if this has been discussed before or not, but if there is a lesson on it then I would certainly like to learn from it. Off to bed for tonight, but will check back tomorrow to see if it is at all possible to do this.

Mary K You can go to a post like here
or indeed a page
ChloeB and Tiger's data site ? Link to the Important Loch Garten Links
What I mean is how would I go to a specific page, say for instance I want to go to page 30, without having to click back through all the pages two at a time, is there any way I can just say "go to page 30" eg!

That is easy. If you click a page then the number of the page comes up in the URL at the top. If you edit the numbers in the URL and refresh you go directly to the page you specify.
Brilliant Tiger so easy when you know how, will take some notes so that I dont forget LOL.... This is one particular function that I know will be a great time saver to me. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You (is that enough thank you's) LOL....
Edit: I have just started a Word Document for Hints and Tips for the LG Forum, so that I can copy and paste any posts that discuss things that I know will be helpful to me, then hopefully I will be able to find them easily in the future.
Is there a way to find out one's joining date? Sorry if it's obvious, but I can't find mine.

If you click one of the pages, say 7, it comes up with a 7. See http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/placestovisit/lochgartenospreys/f/915/t/79142.aspx?PageIndex=7

Thank you TIGER

Tigerrrrrrr!!! ;-D ;-D ;-D
I could have sworn that there were already 2 chicks when I joined up. You welcomed me on 23 May and only Star was already born so I should have seen Storm hatch :-/ I posted my first video on 6 June and it was off-centre - well, it was all new to me ;-)
Thank you TIGER :-*
I use Chrome for RSPB, GMail and YouTube, they're all connected (like Your ankle bone connected to your leg bone... Your leg bone connected to your knee bone... Your knee bone connected to your thigh bone... ;-) ).
But this is what Chrome is doing to my YouTube Video Manager pages and others, sometimes all pages :-( It's a huge white square covering most of the page. If I scroll up via the side-bar, the white block stays in place but you can see what's behind it in the visible bit at the top.
I have to clear cache and cookies EVERY DAY AT LEAST! Which obviously signs me out of all sites that I use Chrome for >:(
Am posting this just in case anyone has a solution. It's been going on, on and off, for a couple of weeks.
EDIT - Now I cannot see any videos in the Daily Update in Chrome, there is just a blank space where they should be. So I'm testing Opera to see if RSPB site is fully functional (can't use Rich Formatting in Firefox, nor reply to messages, the Submit button doesn't respond).
Am in despair!
EDIT 2 - Am in despair no longer - Googled and found many with same problem with Chrome/YouTube, one solution = sign in to YouTube with Google a/c, not YouTube, and it seems solved :-)
TEST
Edit: Nevermind... :-)))
A request for 'technical' assistance!
This thread seems like as good a place as any to ask this...
While I am a member of this group I seem to be getting an email every time a post is made in the group forum (regardless of whether I have contributed to, or even viewed the thread). For example by early Afternoon yesterday I had received over 150 emails of posts for the 31st May Daily Update thread - but had not even visited the website since the creation of that thread!
There must be an easy way to 'switch off' the receipt of emails like these, but I seem to have overlooked it - can anyone help please?
(at the moment I'm leaving the group after posting to stop receipt of emails that way).

Roy if you click on your username (on a black line at the top right hand side of the page of any RSPB community page) it opens you profile. Then "click edit" profile on the right hand side of the ceen across from your username. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page there are a set of e-mail preferences, for which the default option is that they are all ticked whoich means you get the e-mail overload you describe. Unticking the boxes will resolve the issue
