Welcome, friends, to our Gabfest Room which is transformed temporarily into Music Hall. The opening of “The Gabfest Third Music Night” will be announced at 6:00 p.m. We will not post any music until the program has officially opened. Our goal this evening is to rescue ourselves and all our listeners from the winter blues.
I hope you liked our simple Christmas lights as you approached. The front window is outlined with multicolored lights, while one small evergreen near the door is covered generously with white lights. Inside, in the far corner, a large Christmas tree is decorated with more of the multicolored lights, old-fashioned glass ornaments, popcorn & cranberry chains, with silver icicles over all. And of course a big star at the top. If you have a favorite ornament or two you would like to add, feel free to do so when you arrive. Under the tree is a lovely Manger Scene to remind us of The Reason for the Season.
Our table is covered with a red cloth and festooned with evergreen garlands highlighted with holly leaves and many red berries. We have the reddest punch I could think of: the sweet-tart taste of cranberry juice, strawberry kool-aid (often made fun of, but tasty nonetheless) and RedPop (crème soda) for some sparkle. For something hot we have a bowl of rich, spicy, foamy egg-nog., hand made just minutes ago. Our munchie is boiled spice cake with the usual raisins and nuts and a few red and green maraschino cherries tossed in just to add to the cheery ambiance. The cake is topped with a thin crackly sugar glaze
The Gabfest fireplace is likewise festooned with live greenery and red bows. The fire is warm and especially colorful tonight, as a shiny copper container of treated pine cones is on the hearth ready to be tossed in for those vividly colored red blue & green flames.

June the table looks beautiful and I have brought some bramble and apple pies. The punch looks delightful and I have got some vodka under the table which will enhance the punch :)

Help yourself, B&B. That's what our gathering time is for. I'm sure your Bamble & Apple Pie Is delicious. I'll help myself to a piece right now. We'll give your vodka a prominant place right here on the table, then anyone who chooses can add just what they want to their own glass.
June as usual I am the first for a very important date. I will never be late, late late for a very imprortant date lol
We're expecting Sunshine & Lowey, but Sunshine is always late. Sugar was hoping to be partying elsewhere tonight if the weather is fit an so will miss Music night. Black Jag is planning to attend , but will be late. He usually manages to get here just as we're closing. We hope he can be much earlier than that this evening.
