SUE C - May I politely ask a question. Was reviewing my records at nests. Does Orange HD at Crook of Baldoon count in your spreadsheet. I know the Darvik Ring was lost in Winter 2008/09 but the site identify the resident as Orange HD.
Maybe I am missing seeing this in your spreadsheet or it does not count - You can call me stupid if I am missing it.
As I have said before your spreadsheet is a Herculean effort and thank you very much for the information - and without it half of my own records would be missing.

To be honest Keith, I'd come across the info but didn't know what to make of it, as the Wigtown Ospreys site and the Crook of Baldoon blog on this site both show the ring as H/D and I'd never come across a "3-character" darvic ring before. Will add her as Orange HD.

Sue C - Thank you very much and I too was a little confused for the same reasons. In the end I put it down to just the way they were expressing the ring - H/D. I have never known of a Darvic Ring stamped like this.
I will also keep her as Orange HD and Thank You for clarifying this.
Osprey at El Hondo yesterday.

I am not sure who has access to them but Pip Rowe posted some pictures of ospreys, on Facebook, which she took on her trip to Senegal. It looked as if two were German birds but one was Scottish.
For a short time yesterday I thought it might be a return from the "dead" osprey. It turned out to be a young Scottish bird and I think it was this one
It was blue UB and apparently hails from Perthshire.

Thanks Tiger. I have had a look at the pics that Pip put on Facebook and blue UB looks like a female but the pic on John Wrights blog appears to be a male.
Alan That was what I was thinking too. It will be interesting to see how this is resolved (if it is!)
Ditto Alan and Tiger!
