Thanks Tiger, think Tweed Valley could be next (maybe)...............
Rothiemurchus Red 8T
First chick at Glaslyn fledged on 4th July last year as well.
Seili chicks to be ringed next week. Exact date to be given later.
Sad news at Kielder nest 2:
kielderospreys.wordpress.com
I know what that is, ALAN, somehow I read it last night. A repeat of LG events, for the same reasons :'(
On a happier note, the third chick in Estonia is still doing well. Here are Madis and Piret doing some nestorising "together" (ospreys don't always co-ordinate well, I've noticed ;-) ).

Scylla - thanks for that vid - lovely views of weeny one - all chicks look as if in danger of being whacked by stick during HW!
My photos here (eventually)
Hard to visualise these 'wigglies' transforming into what Caledonia & Alba are today....

Wendy Hailuoto is most northerly osprey cam we watch. It has daylight for 24 hours at this time.
Hellow Tiger - good day to you and thanks for that info - afraid I can only manage to check it for 18 hours!!!!!
Finnish fish & chicks!!..............
Bad news from Aberfoyle
"We lost our youngest osprey chick on Tuesday. Can't blame the lack of food either, as our male is doing a fine job"
Update on Threave Castle ospreys:
"Osprey Update 05/07:
As of this morning there were no signs that any of the eggs have yet hatched. They should be hatching within the next week. Fingers crossed."
Early fledge at the Latvian nest:
News from Bassenthwaite - I went to Whinlatter today, and the chick has been satellite tagged. The ring is White 13, this is their next in line after the 2 chicks of 2010, ie No11 an No12, and they have in stock 13, 14 and 15 from last year when no ringing was done. It is a Male, weight 1350g.
Two weeks ago I got to Dodd Wood at last and luckily saw YV bring in a huge silvery fish - some people thought it was a salmon!
Thanks to all for the updates, pics etc from the many nests !
