JSB : I read that but judging by the sightings they should be putting them up in Sussex with regulars at Arlington and Weir Wood and 3 sighted this evening at Thorney Deeps.
Alan I understand there is a nest platform on Thorney Island. After missing out at Weir Wood in the week, I am going to Thorney on Sunday - bet I don't see an osprey though!
Suec : I would put money on you seeing at least one osprey:
"At Thorney Island three Ospreys, an adult and two very vocal juveniles (parent and siblings?) showed well from the concrete blocks at the end of Thornham Lane at midday. Later a fourth Osprey was on its usual post on Long Island in Langstone Harbour."
So exciting that ospreys are moving south :-)
