What great news, we can`t wait to see if "our" Rutland birds return safely round about April.
The early bird catches the worm. No wonder I`m always starving!

I took advantage of a glorious day to visit RW today, and, after a tour around Egleton, I decided to check out the Lyndon reserve for the first time this year. It's great to think that it's only a few weeks until (hopefully!) 5R and Mrs. return. No ospreys today, of course, but nice to see the Egyptian geese are keeping the nest warm for them:
Also saw my first lambs this year. . .
. . . and a muntjac enjoying the sunshine:
Roll on 27th March!
Thanks for the pics Sandy love the black lamb.
Thanks Sandy, I really enjoyed seeing your photographs. You won't find it so peaceful in a months time.
Thanks Sandy, great pics especially the Muntjac:

Thanks Margo, Brenda & Alan. You're right Brenda, it was blissfully peaceful at Lyndon - which it certainly won't be in a few week's time!
As you know, Alan, it's not uncommon to see muntjac at RW but it's rare to get such a good view (from Tufted Duck hide). Love those stealth cams, especially the otters. I've not been fortunate enough to see one at RW yet, but I'm always on the look-out.
The lambs can't be very old, Margo, as they were tiny. Here's another pic for you:
Sandy.
That is a beautiful pic :-)
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
