Around 9.39 EJ flies bac in with some bark--pokes Odin in the eye with her tail feathers and takes over the incubating!

Meanwhile, back at the nest (a takeoff on an old American movie phrase,"back at the ranch" BTW. Don't know if you all are familiar with it or not.)
So, meanwhile, back at the nest,- EJ stands up, looks at her eggs, stretches one leg then the other, fidgets about for a minute or two and settles again. All quietly. I hear camera noises, but not a cheep out of EJ.
The sun is shining again today, as witnessed by shadows on the nest and under the trees. The nest, by the way, looks entirely different than when I last posted. I think I can make out the straight line of branches that bisects the next, but they are next to invisible in this light.

I love both of those photos. The one of the swans is so pretty but I am sure someone will have a good caption for the one of the ospreys.

I've never seen a flock of swans before, even in pictures. In real life one or two is a treat, So where is this picture? And is it a flood. It looks like there is water where there should not be any water

It is in Worcester and the Cathedral in back ground, and yes it did rain!!!!!!! A fair way away from Plymouth..
