NiteOwl, as I said to see one or two is a treat, and that always in cultivated parks, In Cincinnati we have an old beautifully landscaped cemetary that is used respectfully as a park where one can enjoy a picnic on the grass & watch the views which may include a swan or two on one of several small lakes. Never have I seen a swan in the wild, so to speak.
NiteOwl thank you for you slide show and brilliant. All of them have made me well up.
June I am surprised you do have not seen a swan in the wild in the USA. They are protected here as they are the "Queens" Birds. I know how much you like the Queen June and also do.
I remember you ticking Keith off for his poem and you was so angry lol :)
Fish love the picture from you :)
Hi Milly, I always seem to miss you and jag come to think of it?
sugar "how many eggs in your basket?" lol
June~ the ones I see are usually in man made lakes and country parks too, I've seen them in flocks in the sea on the shoreline in Scotland also.. We have them close by where I live in the farmers fields situated next to our ditches/water drainage systems where they swim and build there nests at the side of. Your landscaped cemetary sounds like a lovely peacful place, and I love to see a pair of Swans they are so majestic arn't they. :)
June, there are so many things, when I remember, I seriously do LAUGH OUT LOUD.
I am again now :)
Hi B&B I will have to send a box of tissues to you as well as SUNSHINE.. lol :)
Yes NiteOwl and Sunshine was the first person to make friends with me on here and loved his poster, It's Sunshine Jag. "All for one and one for all" and we have too many muskateers now, and welcome :) lol
Lovely to see EJ in the evening sun and a clear picture and a big thank you to who-ever has made the difference. I can watch now and where is the buzz and I do not miss it :)

B&B said " June I am surprised you do have not seen a swan in the wild in the USA. They are protected here as they are the "Queens" Birds. I know how much you like the Queen June and also do." I was going to follow through with a remark that the swan is a truly MAJESTIC bird. Reading further I see that NiteOwl has already done just that. No wonder they are called the Queen's bird, lovely creature that they are.
I remember you ticking Keith off for his poem and you was so angry lol :) Oh yes, I remember this one well. I knew Keith was teasing, so I tried to answer with a sense of humor, but I was thinking, this is going too far! Not only did he attack the very foundations of the country I love, but he laid it at the feet of the Queen, whom I also admire. Not only that but you all thought it was so funny & that didn't help a bit! But I lived through it and can now look back on it as one of our good times, just as you do. Incidentally, my friend at church who reads the Gabfest faithfully thought the whole exchange was hilarious!
