Glaslyn 3rd egg hatched at 6.15 this morning,
hopefully we can say that about LG Ospreys soon.
Good moring all,
Great news for Glaslyn.
We wait now for LG to get started I really hope this storm we have had is the last of the winter going away.. I've had sleet an icy rain this morning, just thinking of EJ & Odin and all the others on exposed tree tops, is making me shiver.
All for one and one for all.

Very good advice June

What a releif to see EJ sitting quietly in the sun this morning--I really couldn't bear to watch last night. Thanks for news of fish delivery Sugar. Eyes peeled now!
Yes we should June. Shame the picture is awful and we have to turn the sound right down because of the buzzing though.
I too hope the weather improves for the birds. Sounds awful for you too Jag. Sunny spells here in Cheshire at the moment but the blustery wind is cold.

Good view if the three intact eggs as EJ takes time out to stretch her wings. Back on nest again now. Odin must be off fishing !
Raining now--EJ checks her eggs.
Good morning/afternoon all.
Oh, NO! I tune in to the nest to be greeted with the sound of very heavy precipitation. The loud clink clink indicates the possibility of hail or sleet (snow is silent) but I don't see anything white, so hopefully this is all above freezing. No one has said how many days of rain (or snow, or hail, or sleet).EJ and Odin have endured, but isn't it over 30???
Why are you all so greedy? Don't you know that somewhere they're gettin drought conditions because you are getting all the rain.? OK, bad joke, I know. But it does seem to even out like that.
As I type, mechanical hum and pounding seem to have taken over from the clinkety clink of rain, so hope that is good. In case you can't interpret my sounds :) Clinkety-clink is heavier than plinkety-plink, but very different from the mechanical monotenous thump thump that is almost always present.
EJ is talking intermittently with probably Odin off cam.
Changeover at 1:03. EJ leaves and Odin settles in.
EXCELLENT reporting, SUGAR & MILLY! How nice it is come to the Gabfest and know what has been happening.
Sugar was lucky enough to see and dutifully report that ODIN BRINGS IN A FISH at 7.15, I'm repeating and highlighting this for benefit of later readers.
Our first hatching is UNscientifically expected tomorrow. However, we have learned to expect the unexpected so we all know it could be sooner or later. In case it's sooner, we should start watching this PM and evening as much as we can, if we hope to witness the event!
June SpradlinMaybe Keith will get tired of playing in the Florida sunshine & come chat for a while'
JUNE - Do you ever think I will ever tire of playing in the Florida sunshine. The problem is I have not a minute to spare fropm breakfast till bed.
However I still like to say Hello and check Gabfest fror any news which we are expecting this week. With all this weather at home I wish I could bring EJ/Odin and all to Florida where the Ospreys are coping very well.
I went back to the little park near Tampa yesterday to see the wee parrots I like - Also as it was Mothering Sunday in USA thought Susan may like a little necter in her hair. It was like Hitchcocks - The Birds.
HI TO YOU ALL.
Some Reason Pictures dissapeared on last post. Try Again.
After the necter they took a liking to my Back Pack - Could not get rid of them.
Hi Keith, Jag was missing you. He was beginning to complain (understandibly so) about feeling lost amidst all the "girly talk". We're expecting big excitement at the nest tomorrow - give or take a tay or two.
I can't keep up with where you are. Let me put it this way. Is your cardinal friend in Tampa or Orlando?
OH WOW! We'll have to start calling you " \The Bird Man".
Meanwhile, back at the nest, it is now clinkety clinking again. At 8:47a.m./1:47 p.m. UK EJ replaced Odin on egg duty. We had a lovely closeup of Odin head & white chest before he flew away. A very handsome lad indeed!
Oh, yes. For the good of family harmony, I'd suggest keeping the nectar for the wee parrots. I know I would not want to be even nearby Susan's wrath should a second incident occur!
