Hello and very many thanks everyone - I've been indisposed but, in one of MOFFERS videos the intruder ( not Odin he was away fishing) was display calling. Did anyone else catch that?  I E. the intruder may have been male.

Just popping back in on hubbys PC while mine is being sorted out.

Indeed you are RIGHT Cirrus. After the aborted landing (number 3) the male intruder started displaying to EJ. It was a few minutes before Odin returned! He really liked EJ and who could blame him, and the nest. TTFN

I'm thinking from the image that it is foliage or perhaps just a silver ring but not sure it is a darvic ring.

MOFFER !! I was right ??  Great Caesar's ghost !!!  I had decided it must have been a Buzzard.

Fantastic Scylla. I'm so glad tha you got EJ's return. It was so funny seeing Odin jump like that. Thank you.

I couldn't make out a ring and will be interested to read what LG staff have to say. Great captures and vids of the intruder, thanks :)

Here are my statistically derived estimates of 2012 egg hatchings at LG. There is no allowance made for weather conditions, since that would be impossible, but 2012 has been cold, but compared to 2011, I think a lot colder, according to my central heating bill !!

Hi all :) Fingers crossed. I think that I'm back in business.

EJ blocked any other shot. They are a bit blurred as both birds were moving, lol.

Scylla: In 2011 I shut down my central heating over two weeks ago. :o(

Has there been any sign of Odin since 1.15pm when EJ returned from eating? A very quiet afternoon here.
