this picture is so terrible i can't see anything... can't even see the 3rd chick
16.44 EJ flies off for a break to be quickly replaced by Odin (I think) a few seconds later. Yes, that's Odin and he's having a snack on the remaining fish. Well, a guy's got to keep his strength up.....
Chicks are going mad at the moment, making their little croc noises and straining. Odin has the fish, but is eating from hit himself at present. Odin EJ has just arrived and taken the fish, and is beginning to feed the chicks. Let's hope little Bravery gets some.
feeding again.. i only see 2 heads.. the little one is being sat on
Odin looks on as EJ feeds the youngsters
16.51: EJ returns and moves towards Odin and the fish. He is reluctant to let her have it and drags it out of reach with his talons. But she nudges him out of the way and claims some of it.....''I know you have to eat, dear, but save some for the little 'uns''
Both birds are doing nestoration now
Hi everyone, Odin was just trying to feed the chicks when EJ flew in and knocked him out od the way and took the fish.. she is feeding them now and I hope the little one gets some this time, oh it looks like she's decided to do the HW instead, they both are. lol :)
Thank you everyone for keeping us informed on the day, you are all brilliant. :)
Doting parents on the nest
EJ appears to be giving the youngsters another feed, but Odin's tail is completely blocking the view, and we can't see who's getting what.
Loathe to drag myself away but the day has gone so fast, 5.O'clock gone and have to get things done. I leave with the whole family together, pottering around (the dear chicks bobbling around) and have 3 wishes: 1. continuing good weather 2. plenty of fish 3.BT to upgrade its technology for remote areas. Happy watching everyone :))
Frustrating isn't it RtB. I wanted to see which chicks she is feeding
Many thanks Cirrus & Brenda H - job done ! not used to forums - I'm a blogger which is rather different.
So pleased that the weather is soo good up there, great for the chicks and Odin for fishing, sadly down here in West Cornwall we don't have sun & it's a bit chilly ! Dogs seem to think it's time for walkies so I'm off !
The earlier feed around 4.50 pm, preceded by Odin eating on the nest, and followed by some nestorations with plenty of chick noises.
