Ive tried to locate that on the main Dyfi Blog but can't seem to see it .
Thanks for all the posts, pics, and vids everyone. So glad that the remaining chick has been fed and that Monty and Nora didn't abandon the nest in the vicious storms. That little chick is a real fighter.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
seagull0703 I just hope that it builds up its strength very soon in case any more bad weather happens. so happy to hear that it has a fighting chance now and is eating. cant believe they are saying this after I left, I had given up hope. I think maybe Hope is a good name for the chick.

definitely patily :) miracles do happen
Interesting idea about Dyfi intervening... maybe the chick is a new chick??? conspiracy theories all over the nest... How long did they have away from the nest looking into the sky (I was not here then)... anyway, I think they could not have done anything to the remaining chick so quickly, except changing it to another one... so I think it just got stronger after a feed which we did not see. But happy to be told otherwise.

I think they turned the camera away either because they didn't want us to see the poor chick die or Nora was in the process of removing the body of the other chick . The very worst I can imagine is another bird if prey ( a crow?) took the dead chick and they would not want us to see that either . There was an intruder in the area
A happier sight at the moment!
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
I was just about to post the same.....and sunshine too Please let the little one survive and the season proceed without any more headaches
ive only just been brave enough to go through the posts since the last time I posted and have sat here and cried for this little one, expecting any minute to read the sad news of this little one dying, but I cant believe what has happened instead, come on special baby, keep fighting.
The more you rush, the longer it takes
I recall when Lady was so sick they said the biggest worry was dehydration. I wonder if the chick needed water more than food and the first few bites of fish gave it the water it needed to start recovering
I have been out of touch since this morning and I have delibertly avoided logging in until I can properly absorb all that has been happening. It has been a truly remarkable eight or nine hours. It seems that Saturday 9th June 2012 is destined to go down in history of Dyfi ospreys.
If this one remaining chick grows up to be a strong osprey like its brothers and sisters then everyone will be very pleased.
I must say that Nora has done an amazing job.

I cannot believe what I am seeing. I left home for a short while and ,frankly, expected it to all be over when I got back. To see that little one feeding well in the sun is nothing short of a miracle. Long may it continue.
I can't believe it either! We were out most of the day although I had some access to Facebook on my phone. I got the bad news about the death of one and the chances of the other one were thought to be almost Nil, so to come home, log in and read this news is like a complete miracle. He is indeed a real fighter. How about Hercules for a name?
