The LG Osprey season enters the month of June and the chicks are growing fast. Here's hoping for plenty of fish today.
I've posted a summary. Sorry I don't know how to link individual posts but just scroll to the last entry on the page.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ awake at the moment. The giants, sorry I mean chicks are resting.
One of the chicks is calling. EJ has a preen, then shuffles to calm them down.
EJ flies off for a break. Then she quickly returns, and settles back on the chicks.
EJ still awake, looking quite watchful.
Two of the chicks now try to wriggle out from under their mum.
Well the chicks look a bit more settled now and EJ looks as if she's getting some well earned rest.
EJ's awake, so perhaps she was just preening. She also looks quite watchful, now she's back to preening. Slow down a bit EJ! I can't type very fast ;-)
Looks like EJ's asleep, and the chicks are quiet. So hopefully she'll be able to get a decent amount of rest.
Hi HERON, thank you for doing the summary and for starting us off. I'm only half awake but too hot to sleep. Have been looking at the nest every now and then, noticed that EJ has been watchful.

Hi Scylla :-)
EJ has been looking quite watchful when she's been awake. The chicks seem quite settled tonight.
One of the chicks just fired a laser. Cleared the nest!
Haven't got much to say. We had a good day at LG yesterday but elsewhere in the young bird world there were sad losses, and a very sad loss close to home affecting one of our own which feels very personal :'(
EJ just revealed 3 wriggling chicks, and the capercaillie is still at it :o EJ's taking a break.
That was a short one!
Sorry to hear you had a loss close to home, Scylla.
Capercaille's certainly started early this morning.
