Good morning all,
Just catching breakfast and then off for a wee sleep.
Rachel thanks for the link to Arlington and Weir Wood
I see they have had a white ringed Scottish bird show up on occasion
June, I just wonder if it could be Garten?!? These two are now firmly fixed into my itinery for my holiday.
Just remembered June you asked about me getting on line from France... I will see what happens but I will be camping.. So it will be down to a wifi connection and battery power.. Never fear though I shall up date you on my return, I plan to stop at Rutland for a day on my way back north, looking forward to that too...
BFN .. zzzz
All for one and one for all.
Morning all. Thank you June for that beautiful early morning picture-wonderful. Thanks also to Sugar for letting us know the family have fed.
As Karen says, the Juves are pretty active at present---I think we can safely call them that now-- when they stand up you can see just how big they are--definitley not chicks anymore!
Yes, thanks Keith for info on Darvic rings---today may well be the day ringing etc takes place.
Whilst I've been watching one chick has been standing facing directly in front of the camera--such lovley close up of views of his/her head--viewing doesn't get any better than this. Fab
First I must congratulate JUNE on that early morning capture such a unique one and Yes I liked it and saved it. JUNE I underestimate meyou - it was a magnificent capture.
Unfortunately I will not be around this evening either as I have some unfinished business to occupy with. I did not get back from Speyside until near 1100 last night and then early at work. So the updates at present are appreciated and will read them as I can.
Milly yes - Ideal today but then we do not know Roys diary so this may well influence the timing.
Yes, Keith, there may well be more urgent nests for Roy to visit today --I beleive Roy is the only person licensed to tag Ospreys so I guess LG must wait their turn. To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they weren't tagged but of course that would mean they wouldn't be ringed either, and that would be a shame. What will be will be.
Whilst typing the Juves have been rather noisy--not sure why--are they asking Mum to go fishing /
11:43, Odin delivers a fish. EJ not around - away fishing? #2 takes fish and is now lying on it. #1 doesn't appear interested and looking away over the edge - probably looking out for mum.
#2 now up and having a go feeding.itself.
Karen, yes, #2 really trying hard to feed her/himself. I guess EJ must be out fishing so we'll soon have the fish lining up to be eaten !
12:20 EJ landed with a huge fish - plenty food on nest now.
12.19 EJ in with a massive fish---youngster screaming to be fed.
Snap Karen, what a fish!!--as you say, plenty to eat now.
Yes Milly, noticed from your post my clock is out - adjusted it now. Time was 12:19. #2 appears really hungry.
There have been tremendous views this morning. Great when they come up to the camera - their eyes. I've taken the laptop outside with me whilst I work in the garden - neighbours must be wondering about the racket :).
I agree--some really wonderful views of the youngsters today.
Never mind the neighbours--what about your garden birds!! LOL
35 minutes later and the feed continues with both youngsters and Mum getting a good feed. Still looks to be about half the fish left--wonder what weight that one was--quite amazing that EJ can not only manage to catch it, but carry it back to the nest!
Off for my lunch now.
Gotta go now - watching Dallas then out with dog. Just hope this pair work off all this food good style and there is plenty flapping for you all this afternoon. BFN
Chicks must be feeling the heat today, a fair bit of panting going on at the moment!

All quiet on the nest at present--both youngsters laid down facing the camera--how obliging of them--so nice to see them being able to enjoy this warm dry weather--- they even appear to be panting!
