DAILY UPDATE (LG Nest) Saturday 2nd June, 2012

  • I noticed yesterday morning that #3 had lost his blond look. Perhaps EJ forgot that she left fish behind her in her rush to cover the chicks when it started raining again. It's still a good size piece too. Odin has brought some real whoppers in this year. Perfecting his fishing skills with age.

  • 06.10 The penny drops. EJ has a flap and reclaims fish 1. Feeding re-commences.

  • Oh great, one of the chicks pooped on the camera! It was #2.

  • Maybe he realizes  he won't need to  go fishing so often  if he  delivers whales that will  last for a few  meals  :)

Did I miss something or have there been no fight so far today?

  • When #3 reaches up for the fish  his/her head is almost as  high as #1's :)

  • #1 has crashed. #2 and #3 are getting a good meal. Note that #2's nape is a darker red than #1's russet colour, plus he has a light "spot"  #3 is still just dark at the moment. Give him a few days.

  • I thought the cam was getting a wash, but it's chick-poop :o

  • Good one Scylla ;o)

  • 06.10 feed 2 from fish 1.

  • Interesting observation about #2

  • Let's hope for a  short heavy burst of rain to wash the camera lens :)

  • I am going to bed. Good night

  • G'night Barbara. Sleep well :o)

  • Morning everybody

Have been adding a couple more passages to yesterday's summary.....1 at 9.30 with another lovely vid from Moffer, and the night cam and thanks at the end.

Going to look  back now and see what has been happening... I have already seen on live cam that a fish has appeared and it is being deployed in the usual way......I fully expected to learn this morning that all 3 had exploded!

  • G'morning Patily. Thanks for the excellent summary.
