The dreaded midnight hour has passed, and refreshing the cam reveals two sleeping chicks. They have been most companionable the last few days with enough fish to eat, content to be sharing the bounty. Will today be the day for ringing? If so, it will be their first experience of The Human.

Thanks for starting the new thread, CC. The GEMs look like they're enjoying a good roost.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
One of the GEMs is enjoying a good preen at the moment. Now back snoozing. Really hope they both enjoy their first flights. More preening, then back to sleep. I'll hit "Reply" before this turns into a running commentary ;-)
A wing stretch from one of the GEMs.
Hi fellas :-) Actually, that should be :'( cos I'm in awful trouble with my working laptop, the one I do everything on except record. Thank you CC for chipping in with gems of the Gems ;-)
Now I have to go to a techie forum for even more advice. No, PATILY, Dell want £69 to help me :o

Both Courage, and Wisdom are awake now.
Hi Scylla :-)
Really sorry to hear you're having computer trouble and really hope things get sorted soon without any bother. Makes me feel guilty about moaning because my connection keeps cutting out.

I've wondered why it should do that so often :-( These things are so mysterious, and how can we sort them out when "they" use a foreign language - alien language even ;-)
I am recording our birds as usual, but all other "work" is s-l-o-w on my reserve laptop. Between you and me (and CC of course) I might have a nervous breakdown and buy (yet another!) a new one :o
You'd think the computer and internet companies would realise that there is an unwritten law that says there should be no computer or internet trouble during the Osprey breeding season :-)
It's getting a lot lighter at LG. Hopefully the weather stays dry for the rest of today.
Time for me to catch up on some sleep I missed from long ago. So I'm flying off to roost for a while.
Happy watching everyone :-)
Paul.
Oh scylla, I am so sorry you having computer problems. It consumes so much time, trying to figure out what is wrong and what to do about it.
Chicks' wings are each other's security blankets right now, as it is getting lighter - one head on the right and other head about the same latitude on the other side, yin/yang style.
I also must go off to roost myself. :)
Oops - before I can go, EJ chirps closeby, waking the chicks, and they look around. Day cam. Another day of noisy chirping has begun. :-)
Still back to snoozing in between chirps.
Daycam came on a while ago, chicks have been twittering, seem to be sleeping now.
