Calling off stage
09.07 Cally is back and gone a minute later.
All quiet on the nest. There is some very distant calling. We haven't seen Odin yet today, in fact we haven't seen him for just over 24 hours on cam.
Sea gull passing over. Took me a moment to work out what I was hearing.
Wonderful sights this morning. I loved the vids of the girls sharing Fish 1. Amazing. And the tender scene of EJ feeding both Cally and Alba from Fish 2. So we need to see Odin to know that our family is still around.
A stark reminder of how close the end of the season is... Rothes left on this day in 2009! However Garten stayed until 26 August, and EJ left a day later. Odin had already left them to it, but it was his first year and he was inexperienced. He clearly hadn't read the Osprey Rule Book which says that Daddy should leave last, after the babies!!

Hello Moffer! Lovely morning here at home this morning too. We seem to have had a lot of baby blackbirds this year and they are out in force in the garden at the moment. Our swallows have left the nest and I hear them chattering as they fly around. Delightful.
I can hear a juv calling in the far distance. ENS.
The sun is shining in Bristol!!! Lovely, must get the washing on the line while it lasts. I am around and recording, but I'm waiting for the telephone man to call as my phone line is down :o( I have lots of jobs to do, but I'll pop in and out to check on the nest while I work (of course the sound is up full, to alert me to anything special happening)
Sorry to hear the phone is down. What a bummer! I need to get on with chores too, but will pop in and out.
