  • yes SilverS11, I'm counting down to next year already! 201 days 11 hours and 50 minutes, until Lady returns :)

  • Oh pooh.  The birds have flown?  Well, bon voyage and we shall be keeping an eye on Blue's progress.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if Laddie came back next year? What a splended fellow? Must confess to feeling a bit disloyal about the Laird; do wonder what happened to him.....

THANK ALL FOR LOVELY LOTL SEASON! WHAT A TREAT IT'S BEEN TO READ ALL THE POSTS.  SANDRA: YOU'VE BEEN A CONSTANT PRESENCE ON THE THREAD FOR YEARS. DO HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD OSPREY-OFF-SEASON!

  • Morning Annette.

Thank you for your kind words. This thread is very important to me over the years because Lady is one very SPECIAL Osprey and I love her to bits!! Lilttle Lewis has also taken a big piece of my heart now and also Laddie who has been such a marvelous father.

Thank you Annette for you overnight watch of Lady and her family. We shall be back next year to "Welcome home Lady of the Loch" :-)

If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

  • A great ending to a wonderful season at LOTL:  I too am a fan of the legend who is Lady, and shall be watching next spring to see if she returns safely once more.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU who have kept us informed, who are not able to look in as much as we would like on the beautiful nest at LOTL.  Especially SANDRA  you have been a star!!

  • I would like to echo everything that Lindybird has said. The reporting and screen captures on this thread have been excellent with a special mention to Sandra for all she has done on here.

  • Good morning all and thanks to everyone for the last captures and videos of Blue.  So he is on his way and I so wish him, Lady and Laddie a safe journey.  Sad to see Blue go but it was inevitable that he would go over the weekend when I am not loolking.  Just want to s a special thanks to all who contribute to ths thread, especially Sandra who has faithfully followed events on this nest for several years and provided us with glorious captures.  It has been a good year for LOtL this year and good for us too in that they allowed captures and videos to be taken so thanks to them too.

  • It must have kept you ultra-busy, SANDRA, with your very own Welsh ospreys last year and this, I am in awe at how you managed :-)

  • Have to say I am slightly relieved to see Blue has started with the bad weather forecast for this week.   And it would be nice to think Laddie is travelling with him - who knows!    I wish them both a safe journey and hope so much that Blue will keep safe and return - he is such a special boy.   Thank you all for your updates on the nest - I cannot access the cam so relied on seeing the lovely Lady and her family here.   Thank you

  • Blue roosted west of Durham last night and is heading down to Darlington now - well I guess he is much further south than that, but battling against the winds!!

  • Not been on this thread for a few days so pleased to hear that Blue44 has started his journey South and hopefully Laddie is following.

Its been a roller coaster of a season, with weather, losses, etc but thanks to all who have contributed pictures and the odd video.  Really kept the momentum going and here's to next season.  Thankyou mainly to Sandra who kept us supplied with up to the minute pics.

  • I would like to thank you all for your kind words, it has been a pleasure to be able to capture pics of this beautiful Loch of Lowes family.

I must also say "Thank You" to other members that captured some wonderful pics of this family. This has always been a happy, friendly and caring thread and we all worked as a team!

It has been a wonderful year! :-)

If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

  • Indeed SANDRA it has been a wonderful year!  I would like to add my thanks for your contributions to this thread.  I haven't followed LotL as ardently as perhaps I should, but your pictures and reports have kept me up to date, so thank you.

  • I concur  SANDRA and SHEILA

SANDRA it has indeed been a wonderful year. Some ups and downs, but a lovely Osprey family and a lovely group of people on this thread. Your pics were always much appreciated, along with those of others, but you do indeed deserve a special mention for the time you were able to devote to capturing moments from the webcam. I'm going to sign off now until the spring. :-(

All the best everyone until 2013

  • Can I echo what others have said, I haven't posted much in this thread but I have been reading it, thanks to ALL the contributors, Annette for her overnight posts, Sandra, Starling, BoL, the list goes on and on, NOT WANTING TO LEAVE ANYONE OUT - the captures AND INPUT have been amazing so a round of applause go to EVERYONE

Lady and LotL is one special and magical place, I hope that Laddie comes back next year too and that BLUE 44 has a long a productive life in front of him.
