I agree original goldfinch he is our magnificent Odin.  Wonderful mate for EJ, hope they stay together for years yet.

He's the man!!!  I think he has proved himself so far  - and he'll be eager to provide for his offspring, as last year.

I just wanted to bring Odin's thread back to the top of the list, seeing EJ's re-opened with some stats!  It's a pity we don't know anything about him other than 2009 and 2010 - he is so good at this!  Odin the Magnificent!

Yes it is a great pity that no one has come forward with any info on where Odin came from. I feel sure he came from a Scottish nest.

It is just over a year since the great scare about Odin and the fishing line.

Thanks Tiger for remining us of a dreadful day or so last  year when Odin disappeared and Tesco fish were delivered to the nest.  Good to bring Odin to the top again as he just is the tops, EJ is a very lucky girl.

I'll break all records, fish like mad

In a tolerable state

Our nest is in an ideal spot

A des-res - what a catch

So many other osprey

Come intruding on our patch

I haven't got a ring on

So they can't tell who is who

and even my mate EJ

Sometime puzzles what to do

I came upon some fishing line

It was no use to me

But as I flew about

It nearly tied me to a tree

I felt a little poorly

For two days I stayed away

When I returned two fish were there

And a Tesco's bill to pay!

Thanks Tiger for reminding us about the above.  Odin really is a King amongst ospreys.

Luck lady EJ to have  such a sterling mate as Odin. But, let's face it ....  Odin won himself a real ''looker''.

I agree Cirrus Odin is wonderful he deserves all praise we give him.

Finding it hard to concentrate this morning just so upset about Lady, can't stop crying at the moment.
