  • AG : I should think it is only the birds seen from the Observatory that are logged. I checked the day that Rothiemurchus crossed and there were no ospreys counted.

  • 15 sightings today. That is a lot for this late in the season. 2 are almost certainly new arrivals. One in West Sussex and one in Hampshire. Who are these birds? Are they 2 year olds arriving for the first time? Are they Scandinavian birds who have gone off course?. I think we are going to get some surprises in the next few weeks if some of the rings can be read.

  • I noticed on Roy Dennis's blog of 21 April he said that there were more Ospreys to arrive, its really interesting to see that there have been lots more sightings Alan, would be great if we could get some identification, always fascinates me to find out where they came from.
