The Loch Garten nest is the main focus of many people on this forum.
There is a day by day summary of what has happened on the Loch Garten nest this year on this thread, and from the forum tab above you will find a daily thread detailing what has been observed.
The satellite tracking radios were fitted to these birds on the morning of Friday 29 June. They are expected to start flying from the nest in a round a week's time.
Happy watching
Piret is actually feeding a lying-down chick! They don't even have to beg!

Good morning Alan - thanks for that news - am watching nest constantly at present and did manage to catch Dad bringing fish but Mum is feeding chicks in secret
She makes me laugh this one - stands up every so often and looks down - surprised - as if to say 'are these all mine?'
Wendy : This could be her first brood as the old female did not return this year.
Well Alan she seems to be making a good job of it so far!
Have been to Estonia checking on weeny one - these pics tell their own story - gladdens the heart!

The smallest chick was attacked this afternoon by one of its larger siblings, its was not for food, it started to fight back but was soon over powered.
Hello Connie - haven't spoken to you before - just looked in at nest and weeny one was a bit unsettled but eventually cuddled up to a sibling and it all looks peaceful at mo...hope it's not the bravery saga all over again - the last feeding time went ok and they seem to have plenty of fish - looks like they are very hot and the middle of the nest must be uncomfortable 'cos they keep moving to the edge - I know weeny has problems standing up in the middle!
Hi It happened about 15.40 their time, two larger ones at the side of the nest I think it was because on of them was very hot and wanted shade under mother, it crossed the nest and the little one was in the middle, the larger chick pecked at the little one it didnt move but stood up to it, then after a few more pecks gave up and put its head down in submission, didnt see much after that as I had to go out, still does not look good even now, I thought the little one has been holding its own up to now. I have not seen a nest so cluttered, cant be easy for the little ones.
