sorry re-phrase, I am interested and I want to know more.
We know how interested you are B&B.. not only you.. I'm so pleased to see the link you found to the Albatross story..
All for one and one for all.
Good night Mary GK.. that was a pretty normal night on the Gabb.. when we get into a flow nothing will stop us.. One less sleep to your holiday.
LOWRY SAID "the nest is at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens,if you go to their page you can find the history of the nest.Last April they had 3 chicks and then the female was killed by an incoming plane at Norfolk airport, the chicks were taken from the nest and reared at the Wildlife Center of Virginia and were released, although one is back there just now as she was hit by a car."
What an interesting and tragic story. The Norfolk area is a very congested area with a lot going on there in a small space. It isn't surprising that nature has collided with all the traffic. I think i have mentioned that we always got lost somewhere in here on our way to the Outer Banks.
I will indeed look up the site. We need a link. Just the link please, if you can manage that, as too many unnecessary videos take up too much space and make other info more difficult to find.. You will probably remember that we (not you & I, but Gabbers in general) have discussed this before and have decided to use links when possible.
I think you said goodnite alrady, but you can read this tomorrow. Good to see you again.
Mary GK, I take it you are not a good flyer and do understand but forget that as the benifits far outway that. I do look forward to your pics when you get back. Friday will come soon and wish I was getting some sun.
Thanks jag and will not let the Snowy Owls drop as I am so interested.
Gone
Good night B&B, I'm shutting down now too.

Back on page 27 Posted by fish on 7 Feb 2012 5:59 PM FISH SAID: "The Dunedin nest, on the pics that I have seen of EJ'S nest it looked comfy all padded out with moss or some thing. Will be told I expect to have got that one wrong.
Good morning, FISH. Yes, indeed. Both EJ & Odin liked to make their nest comfy & pretty and spent considerable time carrying in mosses of various colors.
It may be humanizing way too much to say they "liked" to make things "pretty". However, I remember a TV show about birds who competed for their mates by collecting any bright colorful or shiny objects they could carry to make into a nest. The most elaborate showiest nest won the lady.
Anyway, whatever the intent, EJ & Odin's nest frequently looks not only comfy but pretty to me.
SUNSHINE HEY TIGER - me a skinflint??????...NEVER . i would give you my last penny if you asked.. being a YORKIE we all believe in value for money.. i was told that at the magpie they are nearly all tourists ... ChloeB and Tiger's data site ? Link to the Important Loch Garten Links
Hi June,
I think I read here a while back about an Osprey that had brought a blue teddy bear to the nest.. was I dreaming that or can someone confirm it?
Morning, Jag 45 days, EJ's clock says. About 6 or 7 weeks. We'll get there yet. This reminds me of one of my little boys who once said "I sure hope this turns out the way we hope it does"
We sure hope EJ shows up on time, followed by Odin in due course.
It was the Milford, Connecticut nest in 2006 Jag.
Here are some captures
