We have threads for a number of ospreys books but we do not as yet have a general osprey book thread. That is corrected as of now.
So what are the osprey books that you recommend?

A big favourite of mine is Scottish Ospreys by Philip Brown which has its own long running thread.
Also Lady of The Loch has its own thread.
There is another Lady of The Loch book but I am not sure it is still available. It was produced in 2010 by the supporters of Loch of The Lowes. It contains lots of poetry and pictures of Lady.
Both are favourites of mine too TIGER. The Lady book is so well written it captures one's interest from the start. Philip Brown's book is a masterpiece in my opinion and is in some ways better than (dare I say it ! shhhhhhhh) Roy Dennis' Life of Ospreys. Which is a great work, believe me; but there is just 'something' about Philip Brown's book.

Well here is "Life of Ospreys" by Roy Dennis.
I have "Ospreys in Speyside" 1971 3rd Edition. Tho' old it has good historical info and pictures, one being an historic photo' of a pair of ospreys at Loch an Eilein Castle in 1895 by O.A.J.Lee

There is a book called "Return of The Osprey" by Philip Brown and George Waterson.
Personally I much prefer "Scottish Ospreys" by Philip Brown.
A book I've still yet to read in my collection is "Return of The Osprey - A Season Of Flight and Wonder" by David Gessner.
Perhaps I will get around to it while I keep EJ & Lady and Nora company late at night. (if Nora is on webcam this year!)

I have not ever got around to getting "Return of The Osprey - A Season Of Flight and Wonder" by David Gessner"
Another David Gessner book is Soaring with Fidel.
Looks Like "Soaring with Fidel" may follow when I have read "A Season of Flight and Wonder" and wet my appetite for his work. Thanks!
Another osprey book is "Ospreys" by Roy Dennis

Oh I have just found a new search tool to search by ISBN.
I have this book, it is a short interesting read about LG Osprey, it is well Illustrated.
I can highly recommend the David Gessner book you mention: I found it very absorbing to read, and his descriptions of all the wildlife is inspiring (he does not just talk about ospreys)

Way back in 1993 I stood looking at this book and wondering whether I should buy it. In the event I didn't and thought I would never see it again. Of course that was before the advent of bookselling by internet. I bought my copy a few years ago.
Thanks Tiger. I have just saved your new search tool.
