  • Good morning everyone,

Just a wee message to say thank you all.. We have now reached £270.. in one weekend that is brilliant. Please spread the word folks..I'm still waiting to hear from The Loch Garten Centre regarding what the money you are donating will do..I will keep on at them for an answer and you will be first to hear it here. Thanks again, Black Jag.

Lizzie, I'm laughing at that "down hill all the way".

I did a tour with my friend a couple of years ago, we did all of the Scottish Premier Football grounds.. Starting in Kilmarnock and finished in Inverness.. I wanted to go the other way round, you've guessed why... "down hill all the way"! As it turned out we should have as going up the East Coast from Edinburgh (Hearts & Hibs) via Dundee (United) to Aberdeen, we had a wind blowing straight into our faces..it certainly felt like UP HILL ALL THE WAY, LOL.

So I'm hoping for the same wind this time, as it will be at my back.. LOL

All for one and one for all.

Looking forward to following you on your mammoth cycle BlackJag, its an honourable thing to do, to try and raise money for The LG Osprey Centre, so I hope that all these "Osprey lovers" will back you and give a little, no matter how small, it all helps.

I do hope that LG advises us what they intend to do with the money.

    Thanks Mary GK,

I will be intouch with Richard at the centre to find out what the plan would be.. it does I suppose depend on how much can be raised.

Let's say we managed to hit £100..and that would be great, (we are almost there already, thank you), there's not however very much that would do but it would be welcome.. £1000 would be fantastic and I'm sure they would find a good use for it.

How about us making suggestions. Back in 2009 there was a suggestion that there be some way to remember Nethy, Deshar and the Wee Yin.

What would be really good  is that every year there is say a picture to remind us of each family. In 2011 a picture of Odin, EJ, Tore and Bynack.

Michael Schumacher has a picture of ever one of his 91 wins.

    Not hugely expensive and doable.

  • Hi folks,

Once again I am humbled by the donations you are putting on..  We are £5 short of £300 this is wonderful.. Thank you one and all.

Tiger, well that is a good idea, and an idea also to seek suggestions for the route this money should go down.

I'm just about to phone LG again, let's hope I get some answers this time.

  • BJ - Sorry I was a little late in donating but you know I had not forgotton as you knew I was missing in action over the Easter Break (And banned from LG Forums) having a "Highland Fling" as you called it.

Tiger, Do you mean a painting or watercolour that could be made into prints to be sold to raise more funds?

Now that is a good idea!!

Personally I would love that idea but Loch Garten do not seem to do pictures of Odin, EJ etc. They would sell like hot cakes but for whatever reason you cannot buy merchandise like that at Loch Garten.
