Brilliant, Brian. No rain must be a joy for you. Stay safe and well.
No sunshine as yet Tiger, it has been a brightening sky though..
Hello Mike.. In an inspired move and a bit of luck.. I have booked into the Holiday Inn, Hull Marina.. A pool, steam room sauna await..
So breakfast now over I'm back on the road.. Just need to go buy some ibuprofen gel.. Right knee is feeling the strain a little.. But no other problems..
The bike and bags look like they've been submerged for three days though.. Lol
I'm off now folks, catch you all from Hull in a while.
BFN Jag
All for one and one for all.
BJ --the sting in the tail will hit you when you go round the SHIPTONTHORPE roundabout.. then round MARKET WEIGHTON bypass .. thats were you will see THE HILL.. .. but then it may be a gentle slope to you. plus the switchback to BEVERLEY.. GUD LUK PAL
Thanks Sunshine.. I was aware of it.. But Hull is at Sea level.. What goes up must come down.. Unless you live in Perth.. Lol
See you tomorrow my friend.. Looking forward to that.
Now I'm away... BFN.
There you are ladies. Tonights stopover. www.holidayinn.com/.../photos-tours .
Mike that link reminds me of something. During the time that Bjorn Borg was Wimbledon champion he used to always stay at a Holiday Inn not far from where I live. Then in 1981 he moved to Knightbridge since they probably paid him more to stay with them. Guess what happened in 1981 ?

Very good point!
BJ, when you get on line again, YOU'RE WONDERFUL! I was never much of a cyclist but if I was, I'd be complaining bitterly about the conditions you've experienced and you are still cheerful. Enjoy the pool, sauna and other facilities tonight.
Hoorah hoorah BJag .. great to hear from you again ( sorry about the bad dream though.
I just wouldn't go to that kind of movie, not enjoying being scared LoL)
And a dry run so far and only 40 miles to go - terrific
Oo er hope Sunshine's hill is indeed just a mole hill to you - good luck on that one
Excellent inspired choice too - soft bed - a hot sauna and a good meal . You deserve much more.
Very good MIKE - the link is great. Shows just what BJag needs
You're simply going great guns BJag - AMAZING

The floodlighting is there for his 'protection' and ladies carrying Ibruprofen will be viewed with suspicion ! LoL
Really grateful for all the updates you send us BJ, it gives us some idea of what you're facing. I was never a very serious cyclist myself. I did do a few long runs at the weekend when I was younger, but only a day at a time, and I never had to contend with such weather. My father was more serious, but he never did anything like this either I appreciate how much effort you are putting in, it must certainly take it out of you when you have to do it day after day. Go pamper yourself for a while at the Holiday Inn!
How will it be crossing the Humber Bridge? Surely that must be a very busy road. I thought you might be taking a ferry across, but maybe there aren't any these days!
Keep going, it's not far now :-)

LOL, I'm sure that BJag wouldn't mind the "ladies" rubbing his strained knee ;o)
Well done BJag. You'll soon be able to rest up for the day. Wow, what progress you've made.
(laughing) Fancy getting spooked. I thought that it was only me that did things like that. At least it gave you wings! Looking forward to tonights post.

Hi BJ I am so sorry I did not make it to thirsk, the traffic was horrendiouse by the time I got there you had gone, safe journey, Jan
Brian - it sounds like you are having a much better day today - that's good and I'm so glad for you. I've noticed one or two references to the Tour and it made me think that, as far as I'm concerned (and I'm sure all of your supporters), you'll always wear the Yellow Jersey! Our champion!
Take care and keep safe. Oh, and enjoy the sauna etc. See you on Sunday.
Hi BJ,can just imagine you pedalling like mad to get away this morning after your spooky night, you should be more comfortable tonight.
Total now at £1,480.00 great stuff, will be waiting to hear from you later.
