All quiet on the home front with EJ keeping the chicks warm today rather than sheltering them from the sun--she's facing the camera -- all you can see of the chicks is their bottoms wriggling about beneath her.
To-morrows daytime temperature for Scotland is forecast a mere 10 degrees so a huge difference for our Ospreys to adapt to.
Looks scary !!!!!!!!!!
Yes, Fish--its raining now--I thought it was raining earlier but couldn't tell for sure.
Love all your pics especially the baby red squirrel--so cute
HI Milly, Agree I love the red squirrel it is so much more grace full than the gray ones we have here in Plymouth.
We have nice sunshine for once!! They say down here "One does not go brown in summer just Rusty"::))
Yes, Fish but that's such a beautiful part of the country--we always come down every year for at least a week. Glad to hear you have some sunshine today. We have too here in West Sussex.
.
May be we can meet up for a cuppa on the Hoe when you are down this way and your time permits.
Yes, that would be good--we're usually down in Sept so will keep that in mind. We can keep our eyes open for migrating Ospreys at the same time!!
Back for dinner:)
EJ sits patiently on the nest, a fish delivery must surely be due--come on Odin, time to bring home the bacon--I mean fish!

Well he heard that message then!!!!!!!!! Back with fish!!
Off to have my hair cut.
14.36 Odin in with good size fish which is still flapping about. EJ quickly grabs it and begins the feed with the clever little wee one right at the front! They are all really hungry, taking the food out of EJ's mouth barely before she's lifted her head.
Hi All thanks for the updates,
WOW did you see the size of that fish Odin just brought in,
and it was still alive, EJ soon grabbed it & started eating its head,
the little ones are having a good feed,
Fish looked like a Rudd this time
Feed time over leaving half the fish for later. The wee one seems really canny--if one of the bigger chicks has any food hanging out of it's beak, he grabs it quick--it was so comical to see--strikes me, he/she has all the instincts of a real survivor--great to watch.
