Well the clock ticks slowly forward and there are only about 10 sunrises until we can expect to see a new hatch of young ospreys at Loch Garten.
Interestingly we do not seem to have a good name for young ospreys although the term osplets has been used in other places.
This incubation must have been the hardest endured by EJ. She has had snow, heavy rain, hail and hard frost.
This chicks will have benefited from diligent parents.

Thank you for starting our thread, TIGER. "Osplets" sounds a nice name :-)
EJ, wet and alert @ 0117hr, take your pick :-)

EJ gave a couple of tiny tweets in her sleep :-)
A brief break:
Evening Scylla - and thanks Tiger for starting us off. Not sure how long I'll be around tonight; had a slow day and feeling even slower now.
Day cam is on.
Beat me to it, Annette :-)
Morning all :) Thank you Tiger for starting the day, and thanks Scylla for the overnight observations.
As no one did the summary yesterday, I have done it.
There are an awful lot of geese flying about within earshot of LG this morning. EJ is sitting and waiting for Odin. She's passing the time by playing with feathers and moss.

Well EJ seems to be fighting with a feather that she keeps putting down then grabbing again - you can see it at the front of her right wing just as she drops it again.
Morning Moffer: Wonder what the attraction is with that feather. Thanks for doing the summary (I think that'll be even harder to keep up with once the chicks arrive....)
Morning Anette. I thought that she was trying to re-attach it lol. She was playing with one for ages yesterday and a gust of wind took it. She looked so disappointed.
Laddie shows up at LoTL very early - I feel sorry for EJ with lay-a-bed Odin! :-)
I have to see to my dogs. BBS.
The sun is coming up :)
Nice shot Moffer. It'll get really pretty once the sun hits the nest.
