HELLO, IT'S ME AGAIN
Headless EJ in the dead tree
THE WIFE IS IN THE TREE
Oh Patily, glad your here. Re the summary. I was thinking perhaps not a set day as peoples plans can change, but if we say here by about 7pm if not earlier that we intend to do it, we all know where we stand. What do you think? Any better idea?

Yes That 's what you and I seem to usually do....but what if nobody has volunteered by 7.00?
Whilst we are on the subject, I am going to do it today

The reality is that one really needs a place to prepare the thread. Now given the sensitivity of some to the numberr of threads it might seem reasonable to use the Osprey chat thread That way the key data could be recorded throughout the day by multiple people and then only needs to be collated at the end of the day.
Failing that a group of us could take the preparation elsewhere.

Anyone. What about if we start a separate thread asking WHO WOULD LIKE TO WRITE THE DAILY SUMMARY TONIGHT? Then people don't have to wade through all the DU to see if anyone is doing it. What do you think?
Odin looking daggers!
Hello - first time here today as been up since 2am for International Dawn Chorus Day. Nightingales suitably obliged -wonderful to actually see them singing.
Glad to see that LG birds knew it was a special day and have been putting in various appearances.
I heard my first cuckoo of the year about the same time one was disturbing Odin.

I have no problem with that at all. But remember some people are sensitive to the "Too Many Threads" debate.
Odin is panting. You would never think that he spends winters in Africa would you, lol.
From the side he looks as if he's shouting, rather than panting!
I find it hard to believe it's that warm - I had all my thermals on this morning.
Odin feeling the heat on the exposed nest.
Moffer - so glad they have some sunny weather (I didn't mean to imply I really didn't think Odin was panting!). Did you hear Crested Tit calling near the nest recently? - I'm still unsure of their calls.
Hope EJ is finding her own fish while Odin sunbathes!
Edit - I spoke too soon. EJ returns to egg sit
EJ returns, 15.18
