So we advance a day closer to hatching. patily excellent summary for Sunday tells us that it was a two fish day. I guess that should please EJ after a hungry Saturday.
Today is also the day of Roy Dennis's talk in Boat of Garten. Will any forum member be attending?
EJ is sitting contentedly on her nest tonight. The weather chart suggests it will be a cold night but a sunny morning.
Thank you for excellent summary patily, and as tiger says, another day closer to my 1st hatchings.
I watched Countryfile and noted that the highlands are in for some more snow (in the high grounds) and now feel for our parents. However, we must remember that EJ and Odin are veterans of the scottish gales and I'm sure will cope admirably.
The reference of Boat of Garten, (Roy Deninnis) brought bitter/sweet memories for me as in a past life we used to rent a house there but it was just for the purpose of skiing and no thought to our gorgeous pair. At Easter break, it was so cold that it brought tears to our eyes and the heating bill was enormous.
Anyway, sorry for being so shallow and hope the talk is well attended.
EJ had a stretch and some flaps @ 0253hr:
She's awake and looking around, not alarmed.
Evening everyone: EJ awake and in for her usual wait for Odin.
Evening, Annette :-) Here's EJ, she won't look at us at the mo :-( Frosty?
EJ gets up to chat to eggs, then settles again.
I wonder if she's looking at Odin in his tree? Is that the right direction?
Hey Scylla: I'm not sure where Odin could be. Day cam is on; doesn't look like there'll be much sun this morning.
EJ DOES have frosty feathers - again! DAY cam on.
Good morning - I'm awake as dozed off around 8pm last night due to 2am start for dawn chorus!
I like listening to dawn chorus at LG.
Quick glimpse of eggs as EJ adjusts her position
Morning, Birdsong - hope I'm not about to post the same picture as you have :-)
Here she is checking the eggs. movie version:
It's thawing now, just looks wet. Here come the geese :-)
Odin arrives. Early today!!
How lovely, an early visit from Odin! No fish of course, the water must be icy-cold.
Odin says good morning
