scylla, I think you and RtB were witnessing the hatching as you postulated about what was happening/sounding/being seen in your pre-midnight video clips.
Someone has mentioned that the feed to the centre is straight from live cam and therefore of superior quality as compared to the processed/heavily pixellated stream that we see. Hence they could make out the 'special one' moving in the dim conditions having hatched at c~23.30 as per blog?.
I'm not sure that you and RtB would want to backtrack and check out your recordings for a pre-midnight hatching now? For your own curiosity ?;-?
I also wonder if you also captured the pine marten appearance again mentioned in the blog.
I am now hearing 2nd egg pre-hatching sounds in many of the video clips (or is that the 'inn' juice affecting me ?;-P) or even the little one vocalising all those differing sounds!? So much to ponder.....<strokes chin icon inserted here> ;-)
