Another day watching our three chicks grow and change at a tremendous rate!
All seems peaceful as EJ has managed to cover the chicks - beginning to get light already with some bird sounds starting.
Well, it certainly has been a restless night for EJ and some of the chicks, especially the wheezing one. I wonder what is happening. Does it have something caught in its throat (a fishbone?) or is it allergic to feathers? :-P
Radio Chaffinch coming in loud and clear, accompanied occasionally by the wheezing chick. Rain has stopped in the meantime.
Ack. Rain again. [VIDEO: Chick Pops up for a look.]
Day Cam. EJ with raindrops running off her back, doing her umbrella-best.
Morning at LG: [VIDEO: More Sounds of Wheezing]
It is getting late for me and I must retire for tonight. Hopefully someone will be playing tag team for the morning and checking up to make sure the wheezing chick is okay for the next few hours. It seems to be active and healthy except for a frog in the windpipe. :-/
I leave you as Ej has begun to expectantly search the horizon for signs of Odin.
Sounds of heavy rain and Radio Chaffinch. I was going to sau no "wheezing" but then it started. By the time I got to here it had stopped Bad dream or a grumble at a brother or sister
EJ in umbrella mode
Being an umbrella AGAIN
5.52 EJ gets up for a stretch and wakes chicks with a start. Soon asleep again No wheezing A minute later she flies off Not back yet
No SUMMARY yesterday so just off to do a VERY brief one, leaving GEMs in a heap
The rain seems to have stopped. No sign of EJ, not even on wide view so must be resting in a tree with one eye on the nest Chicks still asleep with a shuffle now and again
Chicks wearing accessories to match the haystack
WHERE IS EVERYBODY? Just quick look before i go and feed my cats EJ is back. Couple of chicks begging but the cupboard is bare
Good morning Patily, there's life here! Are you all right? Apart from the weather, that is. It's disgusting in Felixstowe.
